 1. How do we find Firsthand Sculpture Studio ?

If you live within our catchment area of South East Wales then dont worry about packing up prams, nappies and bottles and looking for our Studio.

We come to you!

Our trained and highly experienced craftspeople will make the mould of babys hand or foot in the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits you (including evenings!).

Our home service is fast, safe and  professional.

2. How long does it take?

Making the mould is a very simple, clean and safe procedure and only takes a couple of minutes.

3. Is it safe for my baby?

Firsthand Sculpture Studio only uses Medical Grade Alginate Gel to make the moulds; this is a natural, safe material that is actually made from seaweed!

Its the same material Dentists use to make impressions of the inside of childrens mouths. Its that safe!

4. How do you make the mould?

The Alginate gel is first mixed with warm water until it forms a thick blue coloured Goo, then babys hand is dipped into a small pot of this warm Goo.

In less than a minute it sets to a firm, jelly-like consistency. Its then easy to just slid little babys hand out of the set Alginate Gel.

5. What is babys hand gets stuck?

Alginate Gel wont stick to skin, in fact it wont stick to anything.

When its set its like a wet, slippery jelly.

But it captures every detail of babys hand or foot, even the most delicate finger prints.

6. What next?

Once babys hand is removed from the mould, its placed in a plastic container and taken back to our Sculpture Studio to be made.

7. How do you make the Sculpture?

Unlike "kits" or some other Companies, Firsthand Sculpture Studio

DOES NOT USE PLASTER to make the Sculpture, we only use fine "Cast Marble."

It is a special material that is actually made from REAL White Marble. It is as hard as rock, it wont scratch or powder in the way plaster does and it will last for Generations.

8. When will it be ready?

About two weeks later we will ring you and arrange a time to deliver the finished sculpture to your door.

9. When do we pay?

You only pay for the sculpture when it is finished and delivered to your door and only if you are 100% happy with the finished product.

If for some reason you decide you dont want the Sculpture then dont worry, you will not be charged anything, not a single penny.

 Thats guaranteed!
